Communication and Development Intern : Institute for Governance, Policies & Politics (IGPP)

Institute for Governance, Policies & Politics (IGPP) is a think tank initiative of Vivek Manthana Foundation (VMF) which is dedicated for public policy research and analysis. IGPP plays a critical role in governance and policy arena at local and national level. It has been operating independently and it is committed to providing public policy research, analysis and advice. The institute intends to develop initiatives to help government understand various issues and challenges and make informed choices for better policy and governance. As IGPP is envisaged as a research and policy focused institution. It engages with different stakeholders like academic, civil society, government, industry and international development agencies to pursue its objective of high quality interdisciplinary research on different issues of governance and public policy.

Duration: 3 months

Responsibilities:
As a Communication and Development Intern, you will work closely with our communication team to develop and execute strategic communication plans across various platforms. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assist in creating engaging content for various communication channels, including website, blog posts, social media, and newsletters.
• Support social media management efforts, including content scheduling, monitoring engagement, and analysing performance metrics.
• Assist in drafting press releases and other communication materials for external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate communication efforts and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
• Assist in organising and promoting events, webinars, and other public outreach initiatives.
• Provide administrative support to the communication team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining databases.
• Collaborating with team members to brainstorm new ideas and initiatives to enhance our communication efforts.
• Providing administrative support for communication-related tasks as needed.

General Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relation or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
• Creative thinking and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Location:
New Delhi, India, Interns are required to work from the office.
