About the Project – Youth for Social Impact:
UNICEF, TSIC (Telangana State Innovation Cell) and Inqui-Lab Foundation in collaboration aim to pilot the “Youth for Social Impact Program” with an objective to immerse and empower the youth to understand the grassroots challenges and solve them through Design and Technology Innovations.
The project aims to orient students from colleges across Telangana to SDGs, Entrepreneurship skills and design thinking. Post orientation after evaluation, shortlisted students will be tagged to mentors for expert support and undergo further capacity building and immersive experiences. Immersive experiences will expose them to the grass root level communities and help them understand the local problems better. They brainstorm and thought partner with various stakeholders. After the immersion, they would be supported to design solutions to solve grassroots problems. The students then build solutions and present and pitch them in front of Jury and the top selected teams are given incubation and implementation support.
