Program Officer – FPO : Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN)

The Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN) is a Not-For-Profit multi-dimensional facilitation network, established in July 2014, in India’s Sustainable Development domain. We have created a result-oriented platform among professionals from diverse disciplines, sectors, and backgrounds with a vision and mission to channel all relevant agencies to provide services to the unreachable parts of our society. This common platform was needed to synergize the Corporate, Grassroots organizations, and the Government to establish a network to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth to reach all facets of the community with utmost efficiency.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Strengthening and promotion of 10,000 FPOs under the Central Sector Schemes (CSS), Government of India.
• Planning and coordination with the project team, FPO – CEO, and BoDs for enhancing the production, and productivity of the FPO members, providing agriculture extension services, etc.
• Conduct baseline and related studies as necessary for the project / FPOs
• Collect and analyze crop data for the FPO members.
• Work on the methods and approaches to enhance both agriculture production and productivity of the FPO members.
• Work on Business, Market linkage, procurements, supply chain management, and value addition.
• Work on developing the commodity value chain approach for the FPOs.
• Organize capacity-building programs, crop demonstrations, and exposure visits of the farmers of FPOs.
• Coordination, networking, and Liaisoning with various stakeholders such as KVKs, agricultural/horticulture officers, etc., and other government & private agencies.
• Coordinate donor visits, meetings, and workshops to share the learning from the project
• Coordinate with field officer/Regional officer/CEO/Accountant of FPO on a daily basis and participate in the monthly meeting for review, planning, and effective implementation
• Prepare case studies and process documentation and other documentation as per requirement
• Ensuring all donor reporting, MIS, compliances, and stage completion of FPOs as per timelines
• Preparation of reports, presentations, compilation, and analysis of data

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate/Post Graduate in Agriculture/Agri-business/Agri-Marketing/Agronomy from a recognized University.
• Mandatory minimum of three years of relevant work experience in CSS 10000 FPO schemes, and in the areas of FPO management, crop production, techniques, technology intervention, and experience in working with FPOs / Large Farmers’ Groups, etc.
• Total work experience – at least 5 years.
• Having good verbal and written communication in Hindi and English
• Joining within 30 days.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Willing to travel in remote areas.

Salary Remuneration – INR 30,000 – INR 50,000 (Salary commensurate with experience)
