About the Project The Curiosity Program was designed to nurture the inherent curiosity of the girls belonging
to the 746 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) schools in Uttar Pradesh. The program exposes students to the science of the world around them through making toys and models and doing experiments. The whole program was based on three pillars:

  • A curiosity box collated with raw material of thought provoking toys and materials was delivered to every KGBV school in UP.
  • The team developed 100 engaging and conceptual video modules on learning science using various toys, models and experiments .
  • Of utmost importance is the continuous engagement and interaction between the girls and teachers, and our team at CCL. This was accomplished through 45 biweekly online sessions attended by over 600 schools on average.

The girls in these schools belong to socially and economically disadvantaged communities and have meager access to resources. The infrastructure set up of the schools for thesessions also varied, from having only mobile phones to even LCD screens.
