250 members currently registered with this Association. ISMA is recognized by both the Central Government and State Governments as the apex sugar body in the

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies aligned with overall marketing and business goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with media influencers, journalists, and industry experts.
  • Research and identify relevant media outlets for pitching news stories, press releases, and feature articles.
  • Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and other PR materials that effectively capture media attention.
  • Secure placements in top-tier media outlets, including newspapers, magazines, television, radio, and online publications.
  • Manage and monitor organisations’ social media accounts across multiple platforms to increase awareness and drive engagement.
  • Develop and implement social media campaigns that align with overall PR and marketing goals.
  • Organize and conduct media events, such as press conferences, product launches, and media briefings.
  • Provide media training to executives and spokespersons to ensure they communicate effectively with the media.
  • Manage crisis communication incidents, ensuring a timely and effective response that minimizes negative publicity and protects the organization’s reputation.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, content writing.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communications campaigns.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills to create compelling press releases, media pitches, and social media content.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to cultivate and maintain connections with media influencers and industry experts.
  • Expertise in social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with media representatives, stakeholders, and team members.
