State Programme Manager – HelpAge India

HelpAge India is secular, not-for-profit organization registered under the Societies’​ Registration Act of 1860. We were set up in 1978, and since then have been raising resources to protect the rights of India’s elderly and provide relief to them through various interventions. We voice the needs of India’s 100 million+ “grey”​ population, and directly impact the lives of many elders through our services each year. We advocate with national & local government to bring about policy that is beneficial to the elderly. We make society aware of the concerns of the aged and promote better understanding of ageing issues. We help the elderly become aware of their own rights so that they get their due and are able to play an active role in society.

Reporting to: State Head (Karnataka)

We are now looking for suitable candidates for the position State Programme Manager. The position is based at Bangalore however the person needs to travel within the state for monitoring, implementations and reports. The selected candidate will be part of the State team and the national programme implementation team.

Responsibilities:

• Project design and development
• Budget Management
• Supervision of all the projects in the state of Karnataka
• Project reporting and evaluation
• Assist SH& CSR team for all proposal related tasks.
• Project Monitoring
• Impact assessment
• Any other programme related activities as per states requirements

Qualifications:

• MSW / PG in social work / sociology with at least 8-10 years of hands on experience.
• Should have excellent communication skills both written as well as oral
• Should have good presentation and PR skills
• Should be computer savvy
• Should be sensitive to the cause of the organization

Remuneration will be as per HelpAge India’s overall salary structure and with skills and in line with those in the sector.
