The foundation aims to alleviate poverty and achieve inclusive growth and development. Active community engagement ensures optimal long-term gains and upward accountability. HCL Foundation works through Life Cycle Based, Integrated Community Development Approach with thematic focus on Education, Health, Skill Development & Livelihood, Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction & Response. Child protective strategies, inclusion and gender transformative approaches remain central in all initiatives of HCL Foundation, thus ensuring comprehensive development. Presently HCL Foundation is implementing five flagship programs, namely HCL Samuday & HCL Grant – Rural Development programs; HCL Uday & Clean Noida – Urban Development programs; HCL Harit (The Green Initiative) – Environment Action program and 4 special initiatives – Power of One, Sports for Change, HCL Foundation Academy and My E-Haat.

Program Name : HCL Samuday & Clean Noida

Vacancy Details : Project Officer is responsible for the management of grant portfolios and ensuring all related activities are designed to deliver as per the goals and strategies. The Project Officer assesses and analyses the fields; identifies key ecosystems and opportunities to work with various stakeholders; and plays a leading role in shaping specific grant activities. The Project Officer strives to share substantive knowledge with colleagues and collaborate amongst all portfolios. More specifically as part of a multi[1]disciplinary team across Noida Project Officer will:

  • Manage grant making/project activities in a team-oriented context that are aligned to the strategic goals and designed to achieve significant and scalable impact;
  • Manage, monitor and coordinate a project/grants portfolio, including: annual planning; identifying and working with prospective NGOs/ CSOs/ Not for Profits to develop proposals for recommending grants (including helping determine the goals for a grant, its activities, expected results, indicators of success and budget); conducting organizational assessments; undertaking periodic reviews of progress with partners; and reviewing financial and narrative reporting;
  • Ensuring the implementation of HCL Samuday and Clean Noida programs through a convergence model where NGOs, duty bearers, communities and HCL Foundation come together and work towards integrated community development;
  • Engage with partners to review opportunities, challenges and advances and encourage collaboration, learning, exchange and strategic partnerships;
  • Recommend and participate in evaluation and learning activities to guide the evolution of programmatic work, working with Partner’s field and office teams:
  • Working simultaneously with multiple stakeholders, including the government, academic, business, philanthropic, and civic leaders. Attributes and Experience:
  •  Willingness to work in the development sector with at least 1 year of experience in a program management role with a good understanding of partner and budget management, monitoring and evaluation strategies.
  • Ability to deliver on time, independently, to work with a range of stakeholders, including ability to perform in a corporate environment and present the work at various forums.
  • Experience of managing complex and time-sensitive processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • MBA (Finance or Sustainability), MA/MSc (Economics, Sustainability) or allied areas
  • Research, Program and Database Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range: Salary commensurate with experience.
