Job description: Coordinator, Waste to Energy Initiative, Forbes Marshall Duration: July 2022 to June 2023 with possibility of extension based on performance Educational qualification: Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree. Additional degree in Project Management will be preferable.

Presently on Contract Basis

Job Role: The candidate will be working on a pilot initiative to develop a social business model which will address the waste management issues we face today. Technical inputs and support will be provided by the project team however basic understanding of the technical and engineering concepts will be required.

The coordinator will network with briquette manufacturers and customers to respectively manufacture and use mixed waste briquette (biomass and waste). He/ will also supervise the pilot experiments. Working on leads provided by the team, the coordinator will liaison with relevant industry leaders. Ability to coordinate with Government officials as and when required. The coordinator will work towards establishing a value chain for the briquettes focusing on livelihood creation.

Desirable Candidate: The candidate will be based in Pune. Extensive traveling may be required to other parts of India. The candidate should have keen interest in finding innovative solutions in waste management. A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership is a must. Candidates should be conversant in basic computer and be able to communicate by email. Strong Communication skills in Marathi, Hindi and English are a must. Candidate with prior field experience in the same field will be preferable.
