1. Development Counsellor – 3 positions
Place of Posting: South Delhi (1), North West Delhi (1), Pataudi, Haryana (1)
About position
Development Counsellor is a key position in all our Programs for Adolescents, which are:
- Life Skills Development, Counselling and Guidance Services in Schools
- Career Guidance Workshops
- Online Counselling and Guidance through ‘Keh Daalo’, our Toll-free Helpline
- Scholastic Improvement Program
- Primary focus of the role is on
Role & Responsibilities
1. Conducting Career Guidance, Counselling and Life Skills Programs:
- Conducting Workshops, Seminars and Training Programs
- Ensuring high quality of training delivered
- Developing and updating content on Life Skills, Career Guidance and Counselling
- Reading extensively and add to the Careers Library
Coordinating with schools
- Getting permission from school principals
- Coordinating with School coordinator to schedule sessions as required
- Ensuring room allocation and availability of school resources required for conduct of session
- Ensuring availability of teaching-learning material
- Documenting attendance and progress of students and maintaining data
- Reporting on the outcome of workshops to schools/ NGOs and funders
Writing Case histories for funder Reports, Website and Media
Assisting in development of new Life Skills programs and workshops
Education :
- A Diploma in Counselling & Guidance is the desired qualification
- A Bachelor’s in Sociology or Psychology is preferred
- Excellent English and Hindi language communication skills – written and spoken
- Basic ability to work on Computers and use of internet
Experience :
- At least one year’s experience of working with adolescents and youth as a counsellor, mentor or teacher
- Demonstrated desire to help and work with young people from marginalized communities
- Empathy and ability to connect with young people
- A passion for training and counselling
- Ability to work with participative methodologies
- Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement
Salary: 20,000 – 30,000/- per month
2. Youth Employment Facilitator – 6 positions

About position
Youth Employment Facilitator is a key position in all our employment-linked Training Programs which include
- CCCS (Confidence in Computers & Customer Services)
- CATT (Confidence in Accounts, Taxation and Tally)
- B-SMART – Job-Readiness Program,
- ESDP (Employability Skills Development and Placement Program )
Role & Responsibilities
The core role, as part of the Vocational Training & Placement team, is making youth employed in the organized sector. This includes:
- Understanding the targeted communities and trainees’ backgrounds through regular interaction with community members and trainees’ family members
- Preparing trainees for interviews and identifying suitable job opportunities for the trainees
- Interacting with recruiters to get feedback and understand their requirements, as well as to keep abreast of the changes in the job market
- Mentoring trainees through their learning process for entry, growth and success in the organized sector
- Creating interesting and relevant lesson plans according to the prescribed framework
- Reporting on the progress of classes and of the trainees
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in any subject is necessary, but the following skills are more relevant:
- Excellent English language communication skills – written and spoken
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work with participative methodologies
Experience:
Experience of working with youth in any capacity is necessary. However, the following are more important:
- Empathy and a desire to help and work with young people from resource-poor communities
- Passion for training and facilitation
- Passion for continuous improvement, and being self-motivated.
- Understanding of the current work environment and skills required for entry level jobs in organized industry.
- Keen interest in the economy and the changing job environment
Salary: 15,000-25,000/-per month
