The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), an autonomous and not-for-profit Institute, set up in 1983, is sponsored by apex financial institutions – the IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and State Bank of India (SBI). The Government of Gujarat pledged twenty-three acres of land on which stands the majestic and sprawling EDI campus. To pursue its mission further, EDII has helped set up twelve state-level exclusive entrepreneurship development centres and institutes. One of the most satisfying achievements, however, was taking entrepreneurship to a large number of schools, colleges, science and technology institutions and management schools in several states by including entrepreneurship inputs in their curricula. In view of EDII’s expertise in Entrepreneurship, the University Grants Commission appointed the EDII as an expert agency to develop curriculum on Entrepreneurship. EDII’s success led by its strong sense of commitment culminated in recognition of its achievements by the Government of India and various state governments. In the international arena, efforts to develop entrepreneurship by way of sharing resources and organising training programmes, have helped the EDII earn accolades and support from the World Bank, Commonwealth Secretariat, UNIDO, ILO, FNSt, British Council, Ford Foundation, European Union and several other renowned agencies.

1. Master Trainer

Location: Kamrup, Assam & Maheswar, Madhya Pradesh

Qualification & Experience:

Master’s Degree in Rural Management/Social Work/ Economics/MBA
Must have 2 years of experience in Micro enterprise/ Entrepreneurship Development/ Self Employment/ Livelihood/ Women related schemes and projects.
The candidate should possess good documentation and reporting skills, high degree of computer literacy, data analysis ability and good communication skills.

Job Description:

• Coordinate with Project Director, Project Coordinator, Subject Matter Experts and Community Mobilizers for implementation of the project
• Mobilizing, selecting and empowering potential women SHGs, Cluster in project locations
• Design, plan and upgrade entrepreneurship and enterprise development training materials including, but not limited to, Training curriculum, Training
• Manual and training hand-outs as per selected Trades/Sectors.
• Deliver entrepreneurship training by following the Training Schedule with quality standard as per EDII norms.
• Assist and mentor beneficiaries in areas including development of business plans, concepts of Business opportunities / financial transactions /Formalities and procedures for scaling operations, new technology and Digital financial transactions.
• Engage trainees actively in training through multiple innovative training methodologies to maximize training outputs.
• Identify business opportunities in target area and provide beneficiaries with guidance on the choice of start-up businesses as per the project plan.
• Conduct Skill Development activities- Production Technology and entrepreneurial value chain.
• Facilitate Business Plan Formulation, funding and infra set-up for enterprises
• Assisting in market linkages and credit linkages.
• Post programme follow up and hand holding of entrepreneurs through trainings and mentoring
• Identify and ensuring entrepreneurs participation in relevant Fairs and exhibition
• Participate in all meetings held for review of the progress by EDII H.O/ South Regional Office, Bangalore.
• Any other work/activity as assigned by the Office

Type of Employment: Contractual

Maximum Remuneration: CTC Rs. 25,000/- p.m. to Rs.30,000/- p.m.

2. Mentor/Young Professionals & Block Anchors

LOCATION:

Jammu region of J & K (UT)
Assam – Block  –   Hajo ;  District – Kamrup
Block –  Pub Mangaldai ;  District – Mangaldai

Qualification & Experience:

• Relevant University qualification in a Management discipline (Business Administration/Rural Development or equivalent) with at least two (02) years of professional working experience.
• Graduate in any stream with at least five (05 years) of professional working experience in the area of microenterprise promotion/working with communities.
• The candidate must have experience in micro enterprise promotion or working with community Institutions. Experience of promoting collectives/producers companies is an added advantage.
• The candidate should possess good documentation and reporting skills, computer literacy and good communication ability.
• Recent pass outs from premier Institutes (IRMA, TISS, EDII, NIRD, XIMB etc with Post Graduate qualifications may also be considered for the position as Young Professionals

Job Description: 

• Assist PIA and SRLM during selection and training of Community Resources Persons  – Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs)
• Guide and support CRP-EP during the training programme, on-field activities and enterprise promotion.
• Develop and maintain repository of best practices, case studies, videos and photos and process related audio visuals for specific business functions.
• To systematically maintain all the relevant project documents & records.
• Maintain administrative and accounting documents and its timely submission.
• Report regularly on the status of the assigned initiatives to the Head and Project Directors
• Overall responsibility and General administration of the field office.

2.   Type of Employment: On Contractual basis.

The selected candidate may be posted anywhere in the country.  Salary/fee will  commensurate with qualifications and experience.
