1. Vice President: Curriculum & Product development and M&E

Job Title: ELMS Sports Foundation is seeking candidates for the position of Vice President: Curriculum & Product development and M&E to lead and drive the Curriculum Design and Product development within the organization. The person is also expected to initiate the necessary monitoring and evaluation systems and build on those. Driving innovation in terms of technology and product designing is a key part of the work. The person will be reporting to the CEO ELMS Sports Foundation and will be supported by a dedicated team to lead the vertical.

Job Profile: Full Time

Location: New Delhi (With requirement to travel to Project Locations on a regular basis)

Roles and Responsibilities:

Curriculum and Product Development:

  • develop and upgrade content for both Physical Literacy (PL) & High Performance (HP) verticals within the organization – inhouse and/or through consultants/partners.
  • study latest developments in the PL and HP spaces, identify what of these will be relevant in the Indian context and incorporate those into the content/pedagogy at ELMS.
  • Leverage appropriate digital technology efficiently for program implementation and brand building.
  • prepare policy notes for advocacy.

Monitoring, Impact Evaluation and Learning:

  • Setup metrics and processes within the organization to measure impact.
  • Put in place mechanisms and controls to ensure competencies of program staff, partners to deliver quality is consistent with expected quality standards.
  • Identify and build partnerships that would be useful to help ELMS become a thought leader in the space of Physical Literacy and High Performance.
  • Identify the training needs & set up processes to address those.
    support in capacity building at High Performance centers.
  • Establish & drive the innovative initiatives to promote and progress the agenda of Physical Literacy Lab initiative – Some of the proposed initiatives are Sports for Development Fellowship and Innovation Lab.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of work experience with a minimum 3 years of experience in the relevant domain. Experience of leading a team would be preferred.
  • Master’s degree in education, social sciences and humanities or related field from a recognized college or university.
  • Prior exposure to research, M&E for primary education, Physical Education, teacher training, and early childhood learning is highly desirable.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Strong writing and communication ability with the knowledge of basic computer operations such as MS Office suit is necessary.
  • Experience of leading an initiative within an organization will be valuable.

2. Manager: Curriculum & Product Development

ELMS Sports Foundation

ELMS Sports Foundation is seeking candidates for the position of Manager: Curriculum & Product Development for designing curriculum framework and developing products to support the program implementation. Writing fundamental theory documents to explain the positioning of ELMS related to Physical Literacy is a critical part of the work. Bringing innovation and the use of technology into curriculum and product development will be an important part as well. The person will be reporting to vice-president Curriculum Design and Product Development.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design:

  • Promote research and development within the organization through academic collaborations and partnerships, including writing research driven academic positioning of the organization on High Performance System, Physical Literacy and Physical Education.
  • Building on the existing curriculum framework, develop further versions of the framework based on the academic perspective.
  • Develop play-based activities as resources for teachers in alignment with the age specific learning outcomes and fundamental activity design principles developed by ELMS.

Product Development:

  • Develop training ready products based on the curriculum design – PPTs, Reference Videos, Reporting Formats etc.
  • Customize products to align with the specific project needs.
  • Customize the products according to the digital suitability – Diksha Platform, ELMS Resource website etc.
  • Product Innovation – propose new formats and products that will enhance the teacher experience and learning.

Preferred qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in the education, curriculum design content & product development.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, preferably Education.
  • Experience of academic research/applied research.
  • Experience of playing team sports at a competitive level, or sports coaching would be preferred.

3. Manager: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)

ELMS Sports Foundation is seeking candidates for the position of Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) for the implementation, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting of project activities. Under the overall supervision of the Vice President, curriculum practices and impact. MEL Lead will be responsible for all aspects of monitoring and evaluation including gathering, analyzing, and reporting program results.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Manage and implement multi-year impact evaluation and other studies as part of the M&E KRA in liaison with the research partners, including setting up data flow system, coordinating data collection and reporting with the cooperation of product and operation teams-conducting data quality assurance, verifying supporting documents, consolidation of project indicators, drafting success stories.
  • Perform data analysis, research, indicator selection, sampling, developing and refining data collection tools. Develop reports, MEL plans, and research designs.
  • Facilitate knowledge management and communication- building and sharing lessons learned, good practices, and case studies. Contribute to the establishment of project knowledge management systems.
  • Collaborate with researchers to promote program results (observational methods) by using success stories, infographics, testimonials, etc.

Knowledge and Capacity Building:

  • M&E capacity-building activities- Train team & partners on new methods and tools; Build the team’s capacity on M&E concepts and frameworks.
  • Assist leadership in the preparation of M&E related workplan & budget.
  • Support field teams in developing program indicators and reporting templates, need assessments to identify gaps using survey questionnaires, focus group discussions, interviews, available secondary data, and baseline studies.
  • Monitor M&E activities, identify gaps and challenges and provide recommendations/suggestions on how to address the gaps/challenges. Ensure that Dost program documents, data, and results are organized efficiently.
  • Commitment to have frequent and regular field visits field for monitoring and evaluation activities including pilot tools and methods.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social science and humanities or related field from a recognized college or university; diploma or certification in MEL is an asset.
  • Prior exposure to research, M&E for primary education, Physical Education, teacher training, and early childhood learning is highly desirable.
  • Strong data analysis skills with proven ability to work with a recognized data analysis software.
  • Good computer skills, particularly with MS Office Package. Experience in working with databases or knowledge management platforms is an asset.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Technical competence and experience with mixed-method & qualitative research and ability to work with qual-quant data analysis software will be an advantage.
  • Experience in working with government agencies, intergovernmental agencies, academic universities, or NGOs.
  • Experience with designing and coding instruments using digital data collection platforms- survey CTO, Zoho forms, google forms, etc.
  • Proven effective communication skills in English and Hindi, both written and oral. This includes networking, negotiation, and diplomatic skills.

4. Manager: Training and Capacity Building

ELMS Sports Foundation

ELMS Sports Foundation is seeking candidates for the position of “Manager – Training and Capacity Building” for designing conducting teacher training and the trainings of partner organization representatives across multiple project locations including Jharkhand, Bihar, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh etc. Under the overall supervision of the Vice President, Program Implementation the Program Manager, Training and Capacity building will work closely with the Program Managers of the respective project locations. Bringing new innovations with designing online training modules and curating resource material for teachers will also be part of the work.

Location: New Delhi (with frequent travel to project locations across different states in India)

Roles and Responsibilities:

Training of teachers and other resource persons:

  • Facilitating Capacity Building Workshops for teachers & trainers from the Partner organizations.
  • Demonstration of Sports Activities to the teachers & trainers from the Partner organizations.
  • Collecting programmatic data from the ground & stakeholders both quantitative & qualitative.
  • Supporting the program teams in documenting Impact Reports, Monthly &
  • Quarterly Reports, and other stories from the field.
  • Planning & monitoring the program events according to the timeline.

Preferred qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Any Bachelor’s degree in any subject. Candidates with a BPEd and Diploma & certifications in Physical Education/Coaching or Sports Management would be given preference.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in relevant field.
    Any participation in District/State & National Level in – Kabaddi, Kho-kho, football, or any other team sports would be an advantage.
