Job Description – Assistant Manager- CSR & Sustainability (L6A)

Diageo India operates through its subsidiary United Spirits Limited, India’s leading beverage alcohol company, with an outstanding portfolio of premium brands. In 2013-14, Diageo plc acquired a 54.8% shareholding in United Spirits making India one of its largest markets.

Position Name: Assistant Manager Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Sustainability

Level : L6 A

Reports to: Senior General Manager Diageo In Society (DiS)

Purpose of the Role :

• To be responsible in managing and implementing Diageo In Society interventions in alignment with business and community needs business strategy in the areas of corporate responsibility and employee volunteerism; and

• To be responsible for projecting Diageo as an involved, responsible and forward-thinking corporate citizen. Managing community programme overall to ensure that they benefit the local communities as well as the company objectives.

Qualification & Experiences:

Post-graduate in Social Work/ Social Sciences with demonstrable experience of managing large scale projects preferably in water, sanitation, health, skilling etc. program. Candidates having Certification in Project Management along with experience of managing programme cycle, including assessments, project design, proposal and report writing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation will be given preference

Main Job Requirements /Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and co-ordinate community projects that are based on Society 2030 and ESG requirements – Water replenishment, WASH, Positive Drinking, Inclusive Communities

2. Provide guidance and hand holding support to NGO partners for proper on-ground implementation. Conduct monitoring and evaluation for all on-going projects. Capture outcomes and set up mechanism for regular reporting.

3. Strengthen existing community projects by ensuring quality and innovation. Liaise with manufacturing units for need assessment, execution etc.

4. Develop Request for Proposals (RFP) for all CSR projects and follow the Standard Operating Procedures for onboarding and project management.

5. Manage partnership on water stewardship project and support AWS certification.

6. Evaluate proposals and prepare supporting documentation for informed decision making. Manage proper documentation of all on-going projects. Manage budget and disbursals and co-ordinate with procurement and finance team

7. Implement employee volunteering & giving programs

8. Help in setting up impact assessment process for Diageo.

9. Share content with brand and communications team. Support in award nomination & event participation. Ensure brand visibility through DiS projects.

10. Any other as specified by HOD time to time
