DEVI Sansthan/ Global Dream DEVI Sansthan (Dignity Education Vision International) is an educational non-profit organization that implements highly effective, innovative, scalable and replicable programs to make underprivileged children and adults in India and internationally literate, numerate and educated. It is led by educationist and former World Bank Economist, Dr. Sunita Gandhi. DEVI Sansthan’sflagship Global Dream Disruptive Literacy program uses a groundbreaking and research-based pedagogy and toolkits to accelerate learning and achieve Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills among learners in 90-days. The program is currently being scaled up across several districts of India in partnership with the Ministry of Education, state education departments, district administrations, NGOs and school associations. Internationally, governments and other partners in Asia, Africa and Latin America are adopting Global Dream’s approach to enhance FLN skills in schools and communities.

Position Summary

DEVI Sansthan is looking for a highly motivated Trainer to train government officials, principals and school teachers across India and internationally.

The ideal person will have strong communication and presentation skills. The person also will have good writing skills to make training manuals, surveys, and to make slide presentations. The person also needs to be strong on analytical, observational and supervision skills, to be able to analyze data collected from surveys and feedback.

The candidate is expected to coordinate with the R&D department, liaise with our partners, host live talks,and provide qualitative and quantitative input to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Observing lessons and identifying the strength and weakness of trainees
• Providing feedback, advice and individual training sessions for trainees
• Organizing workshops, training sessions and events
• Collaborating with teachers and other staff to develop improved curricula  and techniques
• Developing new strategies for an improved learning experience

Requirements

• Commitment towards the cause of education for the underprivileged
• Excellent skills in written and verbal communication in English
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated full time experience and success in
• Education Training
• Ability to conduct webinars is an added advantage
• Master’s degree in education or the subject discipline.
• Extensive teaching experience in the subject area or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching adults might be advantageous.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Patience and resilience.
• A high degree of diplomacy.
• Great conflict resolution skills
• Daily reporting and assuring full transparency in outputs and outcomes to supervising manager
• If working remotely, must assure work efficiency and have an excellent internet connection
• Must be willing to travel for meetings and eventsas per donor and project requirements

Working Details and Remuneration

• Salary will be competitive as per not-for-profit sector standards and will be offered after considering the candidate’s relevant work experience and skills
• Working from the Lucknow office is preferred. However, candidates who can assure work efficiency, transparency and excellent internet connectionwill be considered for working from home from other locations
• Monday to Saturday working week
