Dawn Child Foundation is an non-profit organisation that works in the intersection of Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE), policy/ institutional governance, and building grassroots movements. Using a unique blend of psycho-analytical tools and critical education, we use workshops as a means to help caregivers express their best/ authentic selves around a child, critically understand the structures and systems around government schemes that impact them, and help organize them into a community of concerned citizens advocating for the complete wellbeing of all children. We are currently running a 1-year focused pilot with 10 government
schools in South Delhi.

Compensation (CTC Basis)

Starting at Rs 15,000/- per month (during probation period of 3 months and Rs 18,000/- per month after first 3 months)

About the role:
As Dawn Child Foundation continues to expand and work with more partners, including Schools, Governments Departments, and other Non-profit Organisations, apart from our core partners i.e. Parents and Children, we are looking to have a Program Executive in our team.

We are in the process of building a team and committed to the team’s personal growth as well.

Qualifications – Skills/Experience/Characteristics:

1. Minimum 2-3 years of non-profit/social sector experience.
2. Active interest in Early Childhood Care & Education, Montessori, or Play-based learning.
3. Genuine commitment to building community-based grassroots movements.
4. Experience in working with local institutions, school functionaries, elected representatives and government officials.
5. Ability to learn quickly, implement boldly, and assess critically.
6. Ability to take an interdisciplinary approach and hold multiple perspectives together.
7. Fluency or working proficiency in Hindi & English Language.

Role requirements:

*The below-mentioned tasks descriptions would be key to the role and the requirements are not mentioned in order of priority.

School:
1. Meet HMs and teachers to spread awareness about Dawn Child’s program.
2. Coordinate with the school to plan for workshops/ Parent Group Meetings & obtain necessary permissions and build relationships.
3. Arrange logistics & relay timely communication to parents, ensuring good attendance.

Household:
1. Plan periodic household visits to assess children’s learning levels and assist if needed.
2. Build relationships with parents and support them in implementing play-based activities.
3. Periodically challenges and highlights, helping parents document their parenting journey.

Community:
1. Identify potential people/spaces where parents & their children can engage meaningfully.
2. Collaborate to build a local ecosystem around caregiving involving other NGOs/ volunteers/ Anganwadis working in the area.
3. Nurture a network of community champions who engage with local institutions and ensure timely and efficient delivery of Government schemes.

Compensation:
We benchmarked the remuneration range for this role, based on the funds available and the role requirements, at 15,000/- per month to begin with, for the probation period of the first three months. We also intend to increase the remuneration to Rs 18,000/- after the initial period of three month’s probation. The final amount may also be discussed mutually during the recruitment process and the probation period depending on needs of both sides.
