1. Assistant Manager/ Manager

Location Bangalore

Function /Division: Development Support

Location: Bangalore

Project Area: Karnataka and Tamil Nadu

Your Challenge:
At CRY – Child Rights and You, you’ll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to – survival, development, protection and participation. CRY has a holistic approach to development based on the child rights framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. CRY also places strong emphasis on networking with other NGOs and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for children.

CRY’s assistance to the child development initiatives isn’t just financial. Our Development support team enables our partners work through capacity building infrastructure support, sharing of ideas and information, networking and joint planning, monitoring and evaluation impact, research, documentation and government interface.

Your Role:
As a person in this position, you will be the link between CRY and CRY-supported projects in the project area (Karnataka and Tamil Nadu). Your responsibilities will include planning, monitoring and evaluation of supported initiatives, assessing and providing for partners capacity building needs, environment scanning, programmatic intervention, partner/district level strategy development, data monitoring, data analysis and program development, identifying areas/projects for CRY’s intervention and planning and supporting networking efforts.

You:
You must be a Post – Graduate in Social Work, Sociology or Rural Development from a reputed institute. You must have 7 years’ experience in the field of urban or rural development, having experience in planning, monitoring and evaluating projects, program level intervention, advocacy, interfacing with the government and other stakeholders. Excellent documentation skills and analytical skill. Strong written and oral communication skills in Kannada, and English is a must. (Read, write and speak). Proficiency in Tamil is also preferred. Experience of having worked with communities within the state of preference would be an added advantage. You should be willing to travel up to 15 days in a month.

2. Manager – Media Advocacy (HO)

Function /Division: Policy, Research, Advocacy and Documentation

Location: New Delhi or Kolkata

Your Challenge:
At CRY – Child Rights and You, the leading Indian Child Rights organisation, every single person works towards creating a more just world for children. At CRY, you’ll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to – survival, development, protection and participation. CRY has a holistic approach to development based on the child rights framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. CRY also places strong emphasis on networking with other NGOs and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for children.

The Role:
You would be a key person in the HO / National media to participate in the selection of core media advocacy priorities and support the team to create a media advocacy annual/ 3 year plan for the National media. In terms of Media collaboration- you would build a close network of media professionals as a community to ensure adequate buy-in from media houses and subsequent coverage of CRY initiatives and POVs on issues related to children.

You would also be writing relevant articles on child-rights issues for print/ Online/ Electronic media; develop message points and sound bites in response to media queries. You would be finalising the external communication that goes out to the media from the region – type of communication and type of media.

You would identify, cultivate and expand a network of contacts among stakeholders, communities and journalists.

Coordinate the printing of communication material both internal and external with the vendors. Ensure compliance Monitor expenses to ensure compliance to budgets and overall cost effectiveness of the functional activities to CRY brand guidelines

You:
You should be a Graduate/ Post Graduate in Mass Communication or Journalism with 5-7 years’ experience in journalism or media advocacy. An understanding and experience of the media/ PR industries – a background in journalism is a huge plus. Excellent communication skills and Experience/ understanding of issue based advocacy is required. You must also have an understanding of the regional media in north India and Hindi language media.

3. SM /AGM – Learning & Development

Location: Delhi or Mumbai

Your Role:
As a Learning and Development cell in charge, your role would be to contribute towards and implement a learning and development strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives. Your aim would be to contribute towards developing and nurturing a skilled and knowledgeable workforce that is capable of delivering to the organization’s programs and services effectively. This role would also be anchoring the Management trainee program for CRY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct regular needs assessments to identify the learning needs of the organization and design targeted training programs to address them.
  • Training and Development: Develop and organize training programs that meet the needs of the organization and its employees. These could include technical training, leadership development, communication skills, project management, and other relevant areas.
  • Performance Management: Work with managers to identify skill gaps and develop training plans to improve performance and work on strategy to link the LMS to Performance Management System long term.
  • Learning Management System-Work on LMS, liaison with vendor and stakeholders for smooth running of
  • LMS for online learning and upskilling of employees and functions.
  • Budgeting: Manage the budget for L&D and MT programs and ensure that expenditures are within budget limits.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement changes as necessary to improve outcomes for all business
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure that learning and development programs are aligned with talent management.
  • Design and implement the management trainee program at CRY with clear objectives, plan and defined outcomes.

You:
You must be a Master’s degree in human resources or related filed with minimum of 8 to 9 years of experience in human resources and 3-4 in specifically learning and development or related field. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning tools.

4. Consultant – Corporate Partnerships 

Function /Division: Resource Generation

Location: Mumbai

Your Role:
This role is responsible for managing corporate partnerships in the region to raise financial resources in support of CRYs objectives:

  • Should be proactive in exploring leads and possibilities of funding from corporate and digital partnerships and small and major online giving platforms.
  • Should explore different ways of reaching out to new potential partners for CRY keeping the objective of fundraising in mind.
  • Will be responsible for maintaining data sets for all the work RGHO CP does. Must be inclined towards understanding internal processes.
  • Ensure compliance to all processes related to donor management and ensure timely and accurate reviews and reporting.
  • Ensure regular communication with the corporate partners to provide them an update on CRY initiatives and their respective impact.
  • Since digital is a rapidly changing medium, the candidate must keep abreast of all trends and best practices
  • Any experience in sales/digital marketing/proposal writing in a nonprofit would be an added skill

You:
You must be a Graduate with 3 to 5 years of experience in Social Marketing ,CSR foundation, Corporate fund raising in NGOS / INGOS having strong communication skills along with an ability to take initiatives and a drive to achieve results.

As a Consultant, your responsibilities may include lead generation, market research, and presentation skills.
