Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS) is a non-profit trust based in Bengaluru, India. Established in 1984, CWS is now an internationally recognized centre-of-excellence in the arenas of wildlife research, training, formal education and in situ conservation. Centre for Wildlife Studies practices science-based conservation, with special emphasis on ecology and conservation of the tiger and other large mammals. CWS works in collaboration with Central and State Governments in India to promote conservation of wildlife and wild lands, and is additionally supported by several international and national charities, agencies and donors.

About the Job:
The Centre for Wildlife Studies is recruiting for a HR position. This position involves managing all HR responsibilities including recruitment, HR Policies, staff engagements, processing employee data and admin responsibilities such as assisting teams with any external help e.g. dealing and negotiating with vendors, managing office supplies and managing housekeeping staff. The person should be extremely organised and be familiar with HR and Admin functions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining physical and digital personnel records such as employment contracts.
  2. Work closely with different departments to ensure that HR processes are followed and documents are regularly updated
  3. Work closely with Admin and Finance team for related tasks
  4. Regular communication with staff to answer queries and also liaison with senior management
  5. Update internal databases with new hire information.
  6. Develop training and onboarding material.
  7. Respond to employees’ questions about benefits.
  8. Gather payroll data like bank accounts and working days.
  9. Publish and remove job ads. Schedule job interviews and contact candidates as needed.
  10. Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like the total number of hires by programs.
  11. Dealing and negotiating with vendors for different requirements of the Organization.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills.
  2. Minimum 3 years of work experience in Managing HR and Admin Functions.
  3. MBA -HR or equivalent educational qualification.
  4. Proficiency in use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GoogleDrive, Slack and Asana.
  5. Understanding of HRIS systems such as PeopleWorks .
  6. Results-driven and self-motivated with the ability to independently work and inspire the pursuit of excellence.
