Position Summary: Reporting to: Lead, Technology

Key responsibilities:

● Web Development:

o Develop, implement, and deliver web applications/parts of an applications, working on front-end and back-end components, web services, data structures and integration with third party applications

o Customizing applications/parts of applications outsourced as needed.

o Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications; identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs

o Building & maintaining APIs

o Contribute to architecture and design of different technical systems across verticals – process flow documents, requirements and architecture definition

o Ensure the reliability of web applications by automatic/manual tests (is a plus but not mandatory)

● As an Associate at CENTA:

o Contribute to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities

o Serve as an ambassador of the CENTA brand and an advocate for our work and for making teaching aspirational as well as educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication.

o Support with key organizational areas such as Assessment, Learning, Business Development

Skills, Experiences and Expectations:

● Technical skills

o 0-2 years of professional experience. However, freshers could be considered based on skills

o Experience of having planned and executed projects with a small to medium level of complexity. Projects done in college/for own interests also work

o Experience in web development using

• frontend technologies like JS Framework like React (preferred)/Angular, CSS framework like Bootstrap
• backend technologies like Ruby (preferred)/PHP 7+/Java/Node and MySql (preferred)/Postgres

o Having good understanding in Testing frameworks (Jest and Testing-Library) will be a plus

o Having a good understanding in capturing user stories, software requirements and documenting specifications. (e.g., UML diagram, SRS) will be a plus

● Soft and Organizational Skills

o Problem solving with Logical Analytical rationales

o Ability to be resourceful, take responsibilities and initiatives
