Role
The Centre for Policy Research (CPR) invites applications for a Research Consultant to work with its Initiative on Climate, Energy, and Environment (CPR-ICEE). The candidate will be expected to support and further ongoing work on climate policy in the national – and international – context. This will involve conducting research and writing extensively on the role of emissions-economy modelling in policymaking in particular, as well as potentially engaging on topics such as climate finance, carbon markets, and other elements of long-term low carbon development.
Applicants must have demonstrable research interests related to climate policy broadly. This position will require the capacity to work on a number of projects simultaneously, in collaboration with and guidance from CPR-ICEE faculty. There may also be opportunities to work in collaboration with other CPR-ICEE faculty and researchers, should there be overlapping interests. In addition, the candidate may be requested to contribute to the Initiative’s outreach and grant-support activities, as well as broader research discussions within CPR.
