The Centre for Management Development (CMD) is a research driven management consulting and training institution under the Government of Kerala, catering to Government at the centre, state and local levels, development agencies and organisations in the corporate and social sector. Major Services include Project Management Consultancy, Research and Training, Recruitment, Transaction Advisory, Public Private Partnerships, Human Resource Management, Infrastructure, IT& ITes, Monitoring and Evaluation, Re engineering &Restructuring, Enterprise Development, Livelihood Projects, ESG, and Funding & Structuring. The Centre was set-up as per GO (Ms)No. 294/78/ID dated 31.07.1978, based on the recommendations of the K. T. Chandy Committee, with the objective of providing professional managerial support to different types of enterprises. Registered as a professional society under act XII of “the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Society Registration Act, 1955”, CMD is attached with the Industries Department, Government of Kerala. It is managed by a Governing Board comprising of a Chairman, three senior Secretaries to the Government of Kerala, four Chief Executives of public enterprises, two academicians in the field of management, two industrialists, and two representatives of professional bodies. The Director is the member secretary to the Board. During the history of more than three decades, CMD has collaborated with management teams in over 250 organisations to accelerate growth and create value by applying industry knowledge, cutting-edge research and leadership training experience.
Project Overview:
The Centre for Management Development is embarking on a prestigious project focused on the revision of state policies concerning senior citizens and persons with disabilities. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life, rights, and opportunities for these vulnerable groups in Kerala. The project will specifically revisit the Kerala State Policy for Persons with Disabilities (2014) and the State Policy for Senior Citizens.

Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates with a passion for social welfare and policy development, holding qualifications in the following fields: MSW (Master of Social Work), MSC in Applied Psychology, MPH (Master of Public Health) or any other relevant subjects
Experience:
Candidates should possess a minimum of one year prior experience in the area of senior citizens/disability-related research, advocacy, or policy development. Familiarity with the nuances of policy analysis and a commitment to inclusivity and social justice are highly desirable.
