Centre for Gender And Politics (CGAP) is a think tank based in India that contributes to a high-quality scholarship on the intersection of gender, politics and South Asia, and will become a platform for researchers, policymakers and the public to engage in a positive discourse on furthering gender diversity in politics with contextual nuances of South Asia as a focus.

Our work on gender and politics in the last two years spans –
24 Articles; 3 Research Studies and Reports; 22 Interviews; 15 Beyond Victims Editions with over 70 stories of women’s leadership; 1 Research Roundtable; 2 Trainings; Work Produced in 6 Languages; 5 Online awareness events.

All of this has been possible with our passionate volunteer community across South Asia. We are ready to take this to next level, raise funding and scale our impact. For this, we are looking for a Program Manager.

As a founding hire, you will play an important role in scaling our impact across South Asia (SA) and contributing to CGAP’s mission to build gender-inclusive politics. In the next 5 years, we envision ourselves as a leading think tank producing contextual and grounded research on gender and politics in South Asia. You will be instrumental in shaping this journey.

Responsibilities

As Program Manager, you will perform the following functions & tasks:

​Project Management:

  • Tracking progress and setting project vision, goals and milestones.
  • Identifying required resources & coordinating with stakeholders in project execution.
  • Strategically disseminate projects and their results via social media and other relevant channels.

Volunteer Management:

  • Assessing volunteer needs for projects & onboarding the right talent.
  • Working with volunteers across SA to deliver timely projects in achieving goals.
  • Enhance volunteer experience through community building and peer support.

Partnerships:

  • Identifying & engaging with potential collaborators.
  • Manage partnerships of monetary and non-monetary nature across SA.
  • Build a community of friends and supporters among think tanks, nonprofits, media and policy & political leaders in SA and beyond.

Organisational Development:

Support Directors by providing administrative support to organise meetings, propose agenda topics, identify participants, prepare background documents and presentations, handle logistics, etc.
