Center for Civil Society is an independent public policy think tank based in New Delhi working on research, advocacy and outreach on critical public policy issues that affect India. The Center has won many awards for its work in the field of policy reform. CCS is the only Indian think tank in the top 100, in Global Go To Think Tank Index Report 2015 by Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Background: The objective of the researching reality internship is to engage students and young professionals and help them understand the fundamentals of public policy and political economy. We do this by training them in the skills of research, analysis, writing, and above all critical thinking and then expecting them to devise, develop and write a research paper on a chosen topic. Interns are familiarized with local problems in policy design and implementation through close interactions with bureaucrats and other important stakeholders.
Role of the Internship Director: As (Senior) Research Associate, you will collaborate on and lead projects in our areas of interest and will partner with the advocacy team to effectively disseminate outputs from our research to elected representatives, policy makers, media and other important stakeholders.
