Operating in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, we reach over 2 million working horses, donkeys and mules – more than any other organisation. We employ around 900 staff worldwide, including vets, animal welfare experts and development specialists

Location Hybrid/highly flexible, UK or internationally based in Brooke countries of operation

Salary Highly competitive, depending on experience

Job Summary

Brooke transforms the lives of animals and people in some of the world’s poorest communities. The Global Director of Programmes oversees the strategic development and implementation of our operational work, leading an inspiring and highly motivated group of Country Directors and our UK based International Centre of Excellence.

The successful candidate will:

  • Enable a high performing international team, delivering innovative and effective work to improve equine welfare in line with our new Global Strategy
  • Ensure Brooke influences the sector with quality interventions which enable impact and influence
  • Create an environment where senior programme leaders have the tools, autonomy and accountability to proactively make decisions and develop their own part of the Brooke Programmes, whilst deferring to the
  • Director of Programmes and CEO when required.
