Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) is currently inviting WOMEN in all their diversities, including those belonging to minority and marginalised groups from Asia and the Pacific countries with relevant experience and skills to apply as Programme Officer for the Climate Justice Programme.
The successful applicants will work with our committed Secretariat and membership to advance women’s human rights, women’s organising power, strengthening cross-movements solidarity and advocate for Development Justice.

Programme Description & Selection Criteria
The Climate Justice Programme focuses on building capacity of the women most affected by climate change and collecting evidence on the impacts faced by communities. Our advocacy aims to ensure that climate policies from local to global levels incorporate the voices, experiences and demands of Asia-Pacific women’s climate justice movements. It recognises that feminist solutions for climate justice are key in dismantling structural inequalities between countries, between rich and poor and between men, women and other genders.
Selection Criteria
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Programme Management: Ensures high-level programme management coordination to effectively plan, implement, monitor and evaluate programme activities according to the programme’s annual work plan and APWLD’s overall strategic plan.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
Reporting and Accountability: Ensures accountability to APWLD’s members and donors by complying with the quarterly and annual programme reports and respective financial reporting requirements. Key tasks and responsibilities include:
Write and submit annual and programme reports for members and donor agencies.
Work closely with the Finance Team and Grants Manager with the preparation of financial reports and Sub Grants matters related to her programme.
Advocacy: Plans and implements advocacy plans of the programme as guided by APWLDs overall objectives.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
Provide coordination functions to external networks that APWLD may support and lead.
Maintain regular and secure communication amongst network members and partners (including email, online conferencing and communication tools, telephone calls, quarterly bulletins, etc.).
Remuneration & Compensation
Salary range commences at USD 1,800 per month. Other benefits include monthly office allowance of 130 USD/Month, health allowance and insurance; contributions to the employee provident fund; and 13th month salary. This is a full-time position with a two-year (renewable) contract; and a probationary period of four months applies. Staff will be based and work from her home country.
