Overview: Ashoka University invites applications from eligible candidates at multiple levels for a project on Health Analytics, Research and Trends funded by Mphasis Laboratories. About the project: With generous support funded by Mphasis Laboratories, Ashoka University has initiated a multi-disciplinary pilot project to collect, collate, curate, and analyze health data and develop India-specific metrics and visualization tools that would enable policymakers to identify appropriate strategies and schemes in the field of healthcare and public health. Specific activities of the project include

(i)  taking up pilot projects on health data collation, curation, and analytics by pooling publicly available health and related data and data procured through collaborations with other organizations.

(ii) organize courses and training workshops for capacity building on collecting, collating, and analyzing health data, integrating scientific and socio-economic factors related to public health and in framing evidence-based policies on public health and economics and

(iii) initiate long-term collaborations with other organizations and experts to conduct advanced research on health data.

1. Program Officer (1 post)

Qualification (desirable)

● Doctorate / Ph.D. degree (preferably in policy/social sciences/health economics/health sciences/public health policy)

● At least 8-10 years of experience in advocacy and policy engagement

● Excellent project, time management skills

Essential Requirements / Responsibilities

● Advanced experience in public health, epidemiology, data analytics, etc.

● Experience in overseeing teams, implementing medium to large scale research projects

● Experience in preparing and submitting applications for ethical and regulatory research proposals.

● Experience in liaising with the relevant stakeholders, policy experts, policy makers, industry bodies, practitioners, etc.

● Experience in identifying potential research, funding opportunities.

● Experience in organizing various stakeholder consultations.

● Strong reading, research, communication skills.

● Ability to work with deadlines, flexible and accommodative to changes

2. Research Coordination (1 post)

Qualification (desirable)

● Post-graduate degree (preferably in policy/social sciences/health economics/health sciences/public health policy)

● At least 4-5 years of experience in carrying out advanced research activities and team management.

● Experience in conducting, handling field research; handling complex research assignments.

● Experience in overseeing data collection efforts, day-to-day oversight of data management

● Experience in designing and implementing databases for research purposes.

3. Research Analyst (2 posts)

● At least 4-5 years of experience in undertaking research activities.

Essential Requirements / Responsibilities

● Experience in conducting research, preferably quantitative research

● Comfortable with one or more programming languages like python, R, Stata, etc.

● Supporting the preparation of regular project status reports

● Identifying and collating various data sources.

● Strong reading, research skills, communication skills

● Ability to work with deadlines, flexible and accommodative to changes.

4. Communications Coordinator (1 post)

Qualification (desirable)

● Post- graduate degree in communications.

● At least 4-5 years of experience in the relevant field, handling departmental communications and related activities (online, offline, etc.)

● Experience in developing web platforms, manage the social media presence.

● Experience in disseminating research findings through technical and popular media.

● Experience in preparing monthly newsletters, publicity collaterals, etc. and disseminating them.

5. Operation Manager

Qualification (desirable)

● €A relevant post-graduate degree

● At least 4-5 years of experience in the relevant field

● Experience/Assist in managing the day-to-day operations, logistics, budgets, etc of the project to enable its smooth functioning

● Handling miscellaneous correspondences with other departments, offices

● Handling miscellaneous activities.
