Description
ATREE have an internship opportunity for a student, preferably a Masters student, with a background in GIS and Remote Sensing at the BIRD lab at ATREE, Bangalore. The internship will provide the selected candidate with practical knowledge in satellite imagery analysis, with a broader scope to learn about ecology and conservation.

The duration of the internship will be a minimum of 3 months, with a workload of approximately 10 hours per week.

The internship is open to remote participation; however, it is preferable if you could visit the ATREE office in Bangalore at least once a month.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in GIS
• Demonstrated interest in ecology and wildlife conservation
• Experience in using QGIS and Google Earth
• Ability to communicate and read in English

Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection and organization of spatial data
• Creation of training datasets to generate Land Use Land Cover Maps
