The Akshaya Patra Foundation is an NGO in India headquartered in Bengaluru. Our organisation strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government schools and government-aided schools. Alongside, Akshaya Patra also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.

Since 2000, Akshaya Patra has been concerting all its efforts towards providing fresh and nutritious meals to children on every single school day. We are continuously leveraging technology to multiply our reach. The state-of-the-art kitchens have become a subject of study and have attracted curious visitors from around the world.

Our partnership with the Government of India and various State Governments, along with the persistent support from corporates, individual donors, and well-wishers have helped us to grow from serving just 1,500 children in 5 schools in 2000 to serving 1.8 million children.

Today, Akshaya Patra is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) Mid-Day Meal Programme serving wholesome food every school day to over 1.8 million children from 19,039 schools across 12 states & 2 Union territories of India.

1. Corporate Partnerships – New Business 

 Work Locations – Bangalore, Gurgaon, Chennai, Hyderabad
 Experience – 5+Yrs

Job Description :-

  •  Create & Maintain Database of potential donors
  • Raise CSR funding from large corporate & SME, International foundations and multilateral aid agencies
  • Achieve annual Individual target of new grants each year
  • Represent organization at forums, events etc
  • Plan & Execute Employee Giving Programs, Cause Related Marketing Campaigns

Must – have :

• 5+ years of experience in B2B sales with at least 1 year of CSR (including cold-calling, seeking appointments and doing meetings, proposal writing, finalizing contracts)
• Fluent verbal and written communications in English with excellent Power Point & Excel Skills
• Great people skills – to create new and maintain existing relationships
• Must have met annual sales revenue of 1Cr to 3 Cr in previous jobs
• Must have a passion to work in the development sector with a flair for extensive networking
• Any Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Business Management or Marketing will be preferred

2. Relationship Manager – Corporate Partnerships 

Work Locations – Bangalore

Job Description – 

  •  Single point of contact for existing Corporate Donors to service their requirements
  • Ensure MoU/Contract compliance by coordinating with internal stakeholders
  • Track project execution and facilitate field visits
  • Create periodic reports – quarterly and annual to apprise donor of key development
  • Strengthen partnership through leadership engagement, employee volunteering, donor engagement events
  • Ensure renewal & enhancement of donor relationships with individual renewal targets.

Must-have:

• 10+ years of experience in Sales, Relationship Management with at least 2 year of CSR experience (including proposal/report writing, finalizing contracts, CRM campaigns)
• Fluent verbal and written communications in English with excellent Power Point & Excel Skills to confidently engage & present to CXOs, Board Members
• Thorough understanding of CSR Act, Development Sector
• Acquaintance with Impact Evaluation Frameworks – Theory of Change, Output-Outcome-Impact Tracks, Log frame Analysis

3. Direct Marketing 

Work LocationsMumbai  / Hyderabad /Chennai  / NCR / Bangalore / Kolkata
Designations – Executive / Sr Executives
Experience – 2 – 5 Yrs

Job Description – 

  • You work to initiate contact with individuals, decision makers and influencers for building relationships, conducting events  at corporates, identifying new sale opportunities through cold calls and generate qualified leads in order to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly fundraising targets.
  • Generating, developing and converting the leads to donations through various Direct Marketing Activities such as Marketing Promotional Activities, Acquisition of HNI’s & Ultra HNIs, Feet on street activities & Open Market Sales
  • You have a strong eye for research, ability to scout for new prospects and establish donor relationships. Log in lead generation / management activity and contacts in sales system or CRM regularly
  •  You should be able to generate ideas for sales promotions & events that are in line with the organizations objectives

Qualification and Competencies 

• Any Graduate/Post-Graduate with 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Experience in fund raising and donor relationship a plus
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of local language is a must
• Ability to work within deadlines and meet fundraising targets
• Must have a passion to work in the development sector with a flair for extensive networking
