Akanksha currently serves 10,000 children and 4000 alumni, through its 27 schools in Pune, Mumbai & Nagpur Metropolitan Regions in partnership with the municipalities.
Function/Team: Akanksha Education Fund, US
Location: Mumbai / Pune (Mumbai Preferred)
Work Timings : 11AM to 8 PM IST
Compensation: INR 37000 to 42000 Monthly Gross
Reports to: Executive Director – Akanksha Education Fund, US
Overview of the Team: The Akanksha Education Fund is a not-for-profit organization that raises support and awareness in the U.S. to fund educational opportunities for underserved children in India, enabling some of the most marginalized children in the world to maximize their potential. One of the primary responsibilities of the Fund is to raise funds, create awareness, develop educational and research partnerships and support US based alumni of Akanksha Foundation.
What your role will entail:
Donor Services Support
● Bloomerang (Donor management tool) maintenance and updates
● Outreach to first time donors
● Donor Acknowledgements (form letter); identify list of donors for Donor Stewardship team to place calls to thank personally
● Monthly Income Import
● Data transfer and generating reports in our donor database
● Supporting financial tracking as needed
● Sustained Donor Program support to AEF team
Administrative
● Manage the info email account
● Board of Directors and Sustained Donors – maintain lists of birthdays/special occasions/important information
● Support in maintaining prospect lists
● General Admin tasks/Calendar management for team as needed
● Board Meeting presentation decks/minutes as needed
What you need for this Position
Experience
● 2+ years of administration and data management experience in any industry (development / NGO sector experience is an added advantage)
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
● Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
● Organizational and time management skills.
● Highly motivated, persevering, achievement-oriented attitude.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
● Strong interpersonal and planning skills.
● Excellent in Data Management.
Education
● Bachelor’s/Masters degree in any discipline.
