Chief Executive Offer -AIC – SELCO Foundation

AIC-SELCO Foundation has been set up by the Selco Foundation with the objective of supporting and inspiring local entrepreneurs from the Northeast states of India and developing them into sustainable energy entrepreneurs that deliver need-based solutions to underserved communities. AIC-SELCO operates out of the Don Bosco Technical Institute campus in Maligaon, Guwahati, and has workspaces, laboratories and makerspaces to build capacity among local enterprises working in clean energy projects and technical innovations. AIC-SELCO aspires to be the hub of R&D in Renewable Energy in the Northeast.

Role: CEO-AIC-SELCO FOUNDATION

Experience: 15 years and above in the development sector. Senior management experience in the incubation or DRE sector, with strong and active network in the NorthEast, is desirable.

Location: Guwahati Assam, India

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ownership of strategic and operational management of the AIC to turn it into a SDG-focused centre in the DRE domain; knowledge of SDG7 and how the SDG goals can be accomplished through Innovation and Incubation would be a strong qualifying criterion;
• Topline responsibility for raising domestic funds, devising and managing process of incubatee induction, training, support and graduation of incubatees.
• Brand ambassador of the AIC, developing relationships and linkages with government (AIM), NE governments, Funders, Government Departments, Universities, and other incubators such as AAU and AIC Sikkim Manipal University to realise the goals of the AIC;
• Handling high-profile visitors, North-East ecosystem, investors and other stakeholders; managing the makerspace and SDG room and generating interest, outreach and for them;
• Administration of Centre, including day-to-day operational issues, Reporting, monitoring and eval[1]uation of incubatees, accounting and audit and HR and compliances; Team-building, training and management to the requirements of AIC-SELCO;
• Reporting to the Board of AIC-SELCO and co-ordinating effectively with the SELCO Foundation to ensure the best performance for the AIC;
• Take lead in planning and strategizing outreach programs, training workshops and screening re[1]view meetings;
• Keep current on all services offered by the Incubation centre- and its linkage to other events or programs and opportunities in the sector.
• Establish linkage with financial industry, specifically at the local enterprise geography level- banks and micro finance institutions to support incubated enterprise’s financing needs.
