Programme Specialist Agriculture – Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India)

Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government development organization. AKRSP(I) works as a catalyst for the betterment of rural communities by providing direct support to local communities. AKRSP(I) is active in over 2400 villages of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It has impacted lives of over 1.5 million people from marginalised sections of society. Over 80% of the households impacted by AKRSP(I)’s work belong to marginalised communities like tribals, dalits, and minorities. Over 60% of beneficiaries are women who form a core group for program interventions.

Experience: Minimum 3 year of experience in similar project

Job Profile:

1. Supporting in implementation of livelihood projects, facilitating framer training, enterprise setup, and providing handholding support of Farmer producer company.

2. Ensuring the backward and forward linkages of agriculture produces.

3. Piloting the organic Agriculture, ensuring adaptation of organic practices by the farmer of Pusa block

4. Planning and effective linkages with KVK

5. Strengthening the system of project MIS and AKRSPI.

6. Planning and handholding support to filed team.

7. Ensuring the completion of Solar irrigation system and comprehensive update of so far completed activities

8. Ensuring effective leverage with current existing government programme and ensuring effective convergence with Agriculture/ Horticulture department at District level

Education : Postgraduate Diploma, Rural Management, MSW, or similar faculty/ Agriculture background
