Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government development organization. AKRSP(I) works as a catalyst for the betterment of rural communities by providing direct support to local communities. AKRSP(I) is active in over 3255 villages of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra. It has impacted lives of over 3.5 million people from marginalised sections of society. Over 80% of the households impacted by AKRSP(I)’s work belong to marginalised communities like tribals, dalits, and minorities. Over 60% of beneficiaries are women who form a core group for program interventions.

Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in social science /Rural Development / Rural management / Agriculture / Another related subject, post graduate and relevant experience will be given preference

Experience: Minimum 1.5 – 2 years – Experience in relevant field will be given preference, Female candidate will be given preference

Skills & Competencies required

  • Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills interested to work with rural community,
  • Basic understanding of Planning, Designing and Execution process of development intervention,
  • Basic Understanding of Data and Report writings, Computer Skills word, Excel, PowerPoint, Riding of Two-Wheeler

Job Profile

  • Community Interaction and management
  • Conduct PRA exercises, baseline surveys and VDP development.
  • Contribute towards village development activities like agriculture, watershed, Natural Resource
  • Management, Micro enterprise, animal husbandry etc.
  • SHG management and development
  • Facilitate institution
