JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is a 100-year-old Central University founded in 1920. Jamia Millia Islamia bagged the first spot among all the universities in the country rankings released by the Ministry of Education, 2020. It has been awarded A++ by NAAC this year. We have also taken initial steps to participate in world rankings. The Department of Social Work (UGC Centre for Advanced Study), JMI, established in 1967 has been at the forefront of academic and field innovations in the country and has been consistently upgrading its curriculum to make it more responsive to the social challenges in India. After several phases of special assistance, in 2010, the UGC recognized the Department as a Centre for Advanced Study in Social Work.
Since its inception, the Department of Social Work has been churning out great professionals in the field of Development, Welfare, and Human resources. The quality and caliber of our students can be evaluated from the distinguished jobs that our alumni are holding in both the public and private sectors. We are proud to have molded not just social workers, but individuals who have excelled in various fields such as Research, Social Development, Social Welfare, Social Entrepreneurs, and Human Resources.
We invite you to the Campus Placement Drive for final year students of M.A. Social Work. We are keen to organize this drive between January 2022 – May 2022, on a mutually satisfactory and feasible date and platform, for the Final Year students. These students will be appearing in the final year examination in May 2022. Therefore, they can be available to take up their employment from June 2022.
We will be providing you with the supporting infrastructural facilities for conducting Tests, Interviews, Presentations, and Group Discussions.
