Application Deadline: 21 March 2022

ISDM got seeded as an idea in early 2016 when its founders came together with a common vision to launch a first-of-its-kind educational institution that would develop and groom the next generation of professional leaders and managers for the development sector. ISDM envisions building Development Management as a stand-alone domain and an aspirational choice for professionals in the development sector. By 2025, ISDM aims to become the go-to management institute for top professionals wanting to transform the development sector for a greater impact on people’s lives.

ISDM was established to mould future-ready leaders like YOU and equip you with real-world management and leadership skills, strong ethics, and a social conscience, to lead and manage organisations with a social purpose. For a strong, progressive, and effective social sector.

Who should apply?

You should, if you are compelled to make a deep, long-lasting impact and you see your future in the social sector.

What is the educational qualification required?

You are working OR you have just completed your graduation or post graduation.

What is the admission process?

ISDM’S admissions process is fully online and has four stages:

  1. Application Submission
  2. Online Assessment
  3. Personal Interview
  4. Offer Roll Out

When can you apply?

The admission for 2022-23 cohort starts on 10th November, 2021. Check our website for deadlines and other details.

1. ISDM offers the option of deferred payment to all its students of upto Rs. 3 lakhs, which is payable in easy, interest-free instalments. This allows students with a genuine need for financial assistance to independently fund their course.

2. ISDM has over 150+ placement partners in the sector and, as a result, we were able to assure 100% placements in the previous cohort.

3. The placement process at ISDM is student-centric, and not organisation-centric. During the placement process at ISDM, students provide our placement team with their preferred organisations and/or roles. Using this information, relevant job offers are sought and presented to them, and not the other way around. This reverse process is what makes our placements unique.

Your career post PGP-DM

The Post-Graduate Program in Development Management is the only One Year Program in Development Management globally that blends ideas of development with management theories, combining in-class sessions with collaborative group work and a field component.

The PGP-DM aims to develop a cadre of Management Professionals specifically for Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and Social Purpose Organisations (SPOs) who can grapple with the complex context of social change, design interventions, and build, lead and manage organisations for sustainable social impact at scale.

As a Development Manager, you will be able to understand complex social issues and design interventions, lead, manage and build sustainable organisations with cultures and values for socially relevant teams, to create sustained and scalable impact.

Our students form lifelong relationships at ISDM and continue to remain a tightly knit community even after graduation. Alumni continue with mentorship, career guidance, attending talks and lectures at ISDM, and many even work at ISDM!

Besides that, they go on to start their own social enterprises/NGOs in areas like solar power, health, livelihoods, education, and waste management. Others join leading national and international organisations where they work in different functions including program management, fundraising, communications, research, Corporate Social Responsibility engagement, strategy, partnerships, and human resources.
