Empowering Rural Education – School Completion Program – One Year Teaching Fellowship

Loading

Gopaldham School Completion Program: Our initiative aims to empower adolescents, who have left the formal schooling system before completing grades 10 or 12, with education and entrepreneurial skills through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Grounded in Gandhian philosophy, we integrate academic learning, vocational training, and socio-emotional development, fostering self-sufficiency.

Who do we cater to?
We cater to students aged 14 to 18 who face the unfortunate reality of dropping out without completing the 10th or 12th grades. Currently engaged in labour-intensive work, predominantly in agriculture or diamond polishing, these students encounter uncertain and low-reward occupations, hindering personal and professional growth. Our program aims to break these barriers by fostering entrepreneurship, imparting life skills, and facilitating the completion of their 10th/12th-grade exams through NIOS.
