Azim Premji University was established under the Azim Premji University Act 2010 of the Government of Karnataka. Azim Premji Foundation, the sponsoring body set up the University as a fully philanthropic and not-for-profit entity, with a clear social purpose. The University started in 2011 and since then have admitted over 2000 students.
What are the challenges in the Indian education system? How can trained and motivated professionals meaningfully improve the quality of education?
There is a dire need for people who can understand the domain of education and take up a variety of responsibilities ranging from classroom teaching to policy implementation to programme management, in order to improve the public education system in India.
The availability of trained professionals in education sector is grossly inadequate, given the scale, complexity of issues and the wide range of competencies required to work in these areas.
This immersive workshop will walk you through challenges in the Indian education system and how trained and motivated professionals can meaningfully improve the quality of education. Strong public education is immensely important and foundational to the development of the society. We will also cover career opportunities available in the education sector specially non-teaching roles.
This workshop is ideal for fresh college graduates or working professionals who are concerned about issues in Education and would like to explore careers in the education sector. We also welcome anyone else who is engaged in the education space to be part of this immersive (School teachers, College teachers, Education sector professionals, Journalists etc).
