Azim Premji University was established under the Azim Premji University Act 2010 of the Government of Karnataka. Azim Premji Foundation, the sponsoring body set up the University as a fully philanthropic and not-for-profit entity, with a clear social purpose. The University started in 2011 and since then have admitted over 2000 students.
Inviting journalists and media fraternity to attend a 2-day certificate course on India’s Climate Change.
Workshop – The workshop aims to provide journalists with the basic tools and skill-sets to report on climate change, thereby encouraging climate change journalism.

Through the EarthCheck Workshops, cohorts of climate change journalists will learn to identify data sets, source and clean data, visualize data, find story angles and build a narrative that is data-backed and based on evidence. Tools to visualize data will also be introduced to the participants.
