Youth Alliance facilitates transformational journeys of (un)learning, healing and inquiry to support young people to lead and build a world that fosters deeper harmony with oneself, others and nature.
We are amidst Climate Emergency. Global temperatures are set to rise at alarming rates, leading to rising sea levels. Huge areas inhabited by living beings are being submerged. If you look around, you would have been impacted directly or indirectly with one or more climate related disaster, like cloud burst, floods, epidemics etc. For us, young people who are to inhabit the world of the future, it is imperative we take a pause and understand what’s happening from a holistic perspective.
Earth-Shastra takes thirty young changemakers from across India on a 9-day immersive journey – to do precisely that. Slow down and make sense of the climate emergency and converging crises (rising economic inequity, political polarisation etc) of our times. Its a leadership experience to orient one’s life path as a response towards greater harmony with oneself, others and nature. After five remarkable editions in Palampur, Palghar, Udaipur, Uttarakhand and online, we are launching the Sixth edition that shall happen in Kumaon region, Uttarakhand from 3rd – 11th June, 2023.
We deepen our lost connection with nature, deconstruct the current economic system and understand the ongoing economic and environmental crisis from an integrated lens. The focus is to develop the capacity to understand the big picture and the humility to start with small actions. It inadvertently involves focus on personal transformation and nurturing deep community over the 9-days and beyond. The immersive journey will involve nature connects, reflective circles, hands-on activities, creating everyday solutions.
The vision is to build ourselves into a community that fosters ecological way of being; inspires and amplifies constructive action.
This edition is being created in partnership with Kautik (a Kumaon based conscious retreats company) and Tautik (our friend-mentor in the Himalayas).
