Application deadline on 31st May 23

Dost Education is an NPO working towards empowering parents to be the leaders in their child’s development. Through our ‘Phonecasts’, we nudge resource-constrained parents towards turning their homes into an environment where their child can learn, develop and be school ready with Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). Our Program is aligned with the objectives of UNICEF, SSA, NEP, and ICDS.

About the Fellowship

Are you a recent graduate passionate about Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) in India? Want to create tangible social impact while working alongside State government institutions and Anganwadi workers? Then the Dost Fellowship is the right choice for you.

Dost Fellowship is an interdisciplinary programme that brings together the brightest young minds from across different disciplines and regions of India to work directly with the frontline workers and government functionaries in community engagement and mobilisation. The fellowship combines mentorship from industry experts with on-ground exposure and evidence-based decision-making abilities.

  • Fellows will be working across districts within Uttarakhand
  • Fellows will be given constant mentorship across thematic areas such as community mobilisation, government liasoning and data monitoring
  • All fellows will be provided with a monthly stipend of INR 20,000 (all inclusive) during the programme
  • Total programme duration to be 7 months

The Dost Story

Did you know that 90% of our brain development happens by the time we are just six years old? This factor, backed by research done by the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, has vast implications for the advancement of not only individual quality of life, but also social and economic gains for society as a whole.

Founded in 2016, Dost Education is an Ed-tech non-profit that focuses on development during these formative years. In the past few years, Dost has made leaps in making Early Childhood Development accessible, working alongside multiple state governments as well as organisations like UNICEF to benefit more that 200,000 families from all over India. In the next 5 years, Dost seeks to reach 7 million families in its mission to make every child school-ready.
