Indian Institutes of Management Lucknow is India’s premier management institute that also conducts research and provides consultancy services in the field of management to various sectors of the Indian economy. The guiding philosophy of the school, throughout, has been creation of knowledge, influencing management practices and integrate globally. National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN) Bharat Mission as envisaged in National Education Policy, 2020 is a nationwide initiative that aims to achieve the goal of universal proficiency in foundational literacy and numeracy for every child till Grade 3, by 2026-27. The mission, launched under the aegis of Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Samagra Shiksha aims to bridge the learning needs of children in the age group of 3 to 9 years.

Chief Minister’s NIPUN Bharat Associates is a program for young professionals to work with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to catalyse the implementation of the NIPUN (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) Bharat Mission, and thereby ensure all 1.91 Crore public school students are proficient in foundational skills by 2025-26.

150 Associates will be hired, 2 each for the state’s 75 districts and be paid a stipend of around 40,000 a month.

About CMNBA
In 2021, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, launched the NIPUN Bharat Mission to achieve universal Foundational Literacy and Numeracy among primary school students across the country. To meet the goals of NIPUN Bharat Mission, the Department of Basic Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh has launched a state-wide education transformation initiative
Chief Minister’s NIPUN Bharat Associates with Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow as the Knowledge Partner.

Under this programme, a dynamic cohort of 150 associates will be placed in all the 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh to drive successful implementation of the NIPUN Bharat Mission, and thereby ensure that every primary school student is proficient in foundational literacy and numeracy skills by 2025-26.

You are passionate about working round the clock and are committed to making a meaningful contribution to state’s development journey. You are adept at navigating through complexity and ambiguity and exhibit stellar leadership skills to be able to actively debottleneck
day-to-day challenges by co-working with Govt. stakeholders. You are devoted to excellence and have excellent project management and technical skills.

Role of CMNBA
Chief Minister NIPUN Bharat Associate would co-work with senior administrative leadership of the district to solve for foundational literacy and numeracy challenges across the district and streamline implementation of NIPUN Bharat mission. Day-to-day responsibilities of a CMNBA would include the following

1. To track district, block and school level progress on NIPUN.
2. To devise corrective measures for poor-performing blocks/schools by co-working with Govt. stakeholders
3. To debottleneck day-to-day issues by collaborating with field officers.
4. To build capacity and provide mentorship support to all field officers through regular workshops.
5. To support Govt stakeholders in driving quality data-backed reviews regularly.

Eligibility Criteria
An applicant must meet the following criteria as on July 1, 2023-

1. The applicant should be an Indian citizen with an age between 22-27 years
2. The applicant should be proficient in both oral and written Hindi and English
3. The applicant should be graduate with a minimum 60% of marks (or equivalent CGPA) with minimum 2 years full-time work experience OR post-graduate with a minimum 60% of marks (or equivalent CGPA) with a minimum 1 year full-time work experience.
4. The applicant must have earned graduate or post-graduate degree from NIRF top 100 universities/colleges (as per NIRF 2022 rankings)

Compensation and benefits
1. Monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000 /- month
2. Housing and medical allowance of Rs. 10,000 /- month
3. A laptop and a pool car will also be provided to associates in their allocated district
