The Buddha Institute has already graduated two cohorts of Fellows, whom we enabled to develop a strong ecosystem at a grassroots level for operational efficiency. We are backed by 20+ years of grassroot level work and a combined experience of 100+ years with people like Ved Arya, Chitranjan Dhar, Prof. Ankur Sarin (IIM-A), Harish Hande and several others as part of our advisory and mentoring board. Our strength is in rural networks, government and non-government partnerships, RCRC setups, ecosystem enablement, and strong mentoring on all business aspects including financial viability. Our own motivation is that through our cohort of enterprises we can build an entrepreneurship network in rural and semi-urban areas and enable people there to develop alternative sources of income and livelihood.
The Accelerator Program
The Buddha Fellowship program for early-stage social enterprises (for profit, non-profit, hybrid) in operation for at least two financial years is a 10-month hands-on deep-dive program offering the following –
1) Immersion and exposure to successful impact-based organisations
2) Three entreprepreneurship experiential clinics spread over 9 months
3) Mentoring in all functional business areas by established experts
4) Milestone linked funding up to INR 25 lakhs
5) Partnerships and linkages with relevant government, NGO, and private organisations
6) A strong grassroots network for building backward and forward linkages
