About NM-ICPS and TIH-ICS

The Union Cabinet approved the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) to be implemented by DST with a total outlay of Rs.3660 crore for a period of five years. The Mission aims to create a strong foundation and a seamless ecosystem for CPS technologies by coordinating and integrating nationwide efforts encompassing knowledge generation, translation research, technology and product development, human resource development, innovation & commercialization standards and international collaborations. To this end, a TIH on Intelligent Collaborative System (TIH-ICS) has been established at the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad.

About IIT Palakkad

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are autonomous public institutions of national importance for higher education in engineering, science and technology. IIT Palakkad was announced by the Government of India in 2014 and began with a headstart in the very next academic year, 2015-16, with the support of IIT Madras. The academic program was launched by admitting students to B. Tech. courses in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. IIT Palakkad can already boast of a vibrant student and faculty community drawn from different parts of the country; it has truly emerged as a microcosm of India

About the company

IIT Palakkad has established IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF) to facilitate the Technology Innovation Hub on Intelligent Collaborative Systems (TIH-ICS) setup at IIT Palakkad by NM-ICPS coordinated by the DST, Govt. of India. TIH-ICS, through IPTIF, plans to attract potential and harness expertise available nationwide, thus fostering research innovation, world-class technology and product development. IPTIF also plans to build linkages with research institutes and labs within and outside India. One of the primary goals of this company is to work in close collaboration with the industry to deliver commercial technology and products and build a vibrant innovation ecosystem by providing a reliable platform for technology-based start-ups and entrepreneurs.

We are hiring an I-HUB Manager:

1. Scope of the job:

• Establish partnerships, with industrial partners, NGOs, Academic Institutions,
• Funding Agencies, Sponsors and Domestic and international firms.
• Identifying new opportunities for New Projects, technology transfer, intellectual property (IP), and entrepreneurship.
• To develop Technical Project Proposal, plan, scope, and deliverables based on customer requirements.
• To develop systems to ensure that work commissioned for the hub is delivered on time and to a high standard.
• To prepare templates for hub communication products, such as presentations, reports, newsletters, and case studies to contribute to the delivery of hub activities.
• Manage the end-to-end process of Workshops and Events (virtual/physical/hybrid) from planning, preparation, execution, and post-program analysis.
• To establish and maintain partnerships with Innovation Ecosystem Partners (Mentors, subject matter experts, suppliers, companies, and startups in the
• Innovation Network) that are in line with the innovation strategy.
• To oversee the daily operations of the lab facility, which involves training, marketing the facility and equipment, luring businesses (Shared Lab), assisting with client screening, and making recommendations.
• To assist the CEO in overseeing the hub’s daily operations, which include office administration, purchase, marketing and HR.
• To develop and execute strategy for outreach, hunting, onboarding and supporting deserving and qualified innovative MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and start-ups/incubates.
• Evaluates and seeks potential funding sources through program revenue, grants, donors, etc.
• Interact with various Govt Sector/Private sector industries for bringing CSR funds.
• Submit applications and follow through effectively to source funds for HUB from Government, Corporate/CSR, and other supporters; Effectively
  manage and administer the grants/donations received from different sources; ensure timely reporting and compliance per the expectations.

Qualification: Any Degree

Experience: Minimum 5 Years of Experience

Knowledge and exposure:

• Proven experience as a Technology Project manager or similar Techno Managerial role
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Entrepreneurial mindset and thinking outside the box to see things from multiple angles, challenge the norm and arrive at the most effective way to help the team solve problems or prove a value/concept
• Technology enthusiast & capable of identifying trends and potential solutions to onboard.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong project management focus.
• Ability to work across different functions of the organization and ecosystem partners
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized
• Applied Engineering, Science and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

Emoluments & other terms

• Consolidated Monthly Salary of Rs.60,000/-
• The selected candidate will have to join at the earliest.
