Senior Model Governance Analyst

The Senior Model Governance Analyst role within the Data & Model Governance team in Data & Analytics will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and standards for the models and control procedures. The Senior Model Governance Analyst will monitor model applications to ensure they comply with the model governance procedures and maintain TR’s model repository.

About the Role:

In this role you will:

Design and deliver:
Participate in model governance policy and standard creation, management, and analyzing potential impacts of policy choices under consideration
Document and maintain model standards, partnering with functional and business data owners to map existing model structures, usage and common definitions
Model reviews: evaluate conceptual use case and design, reasonableness of assumptions, reliability of data inputs, completeness of testing, adherence to implementation procedures, robustness of numerical aspects; suitability and comprehensiveness of performance metrics and risk measures associated with use of model.

Collaborate:

  • Support model review and evaluation for model specification; reasonableness of assumptions and reliability of inputs; completeness of testing performed to support the correctness of the implementation; robustness of numerical aspects; suitability and comprehensiveness of performance metrics and risk measures associated with use of model
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the model repository
  • Design, develop and implement model risk policies, controls and procedures
  • Support model governance team with establishing collaborations with model developers and users
  • Drive and measure adoption of company’s model governance policies to ensure compliance
  • Model Risk Management: establish model monitoring processes i.e., to oversee remediation efforts/activities when there is skew and drift. Determine model review responsibilities, reporting and frequencies.

About You:

You are fit for the role, if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience and technical knowledge in analytics and the application of model governance
  • Experience creating governance and control programs
  • Ability to coordinate activities across the company with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with highly technical individuals
  • Understanding of model development process and drivers of model risk
  • Understand model risk management regulatory expectations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building and partnering. Must work well in both team and individual settings and must be able to work with a geographically dispersed team
  • Effectively handle and maintain confidential information
