We are currently hiring for below roles for the EMIS Department, Chennai

Job descriptions for 3 Technology Roles and Project Associate (All Chennai-based)

Kindly note that these are contractual positions for 18 months in the EMIS (Education Management Information

System) department, School Education Department, Chennai. Based on performance, the department can potentially extend the position for a longer tenure.

● Web Developer – Chennai -based (2 positions)

● API Developer PHP – Chennai -based ( 2 positions)

● Database Administrator – Chennai-based (2 positions)

● Project Associate – Chennai based (4 positions)

Web Developer:

Job Description:

● Very good hands-on experience of working on Angular JS (PrimeNG preferred), Angular CLI, HTML5, CSS3, Typescript, using GIT & VS Code.

● Strong technical abilities to understand, design, write and debug complex code. Preferably with an experience of at least 1 in Government Projects.

You would be an ideal candidate if:

● You have 1 to 3 years of experience

● You have some experience with assessment design (student-facing or teacher-facing) – though we are open to people from outside the domain or outside education too.

● You have strong analytical and qualitative reasoning skills – and can foster healthy arguments!

● You have strong data-handling skills, comfort with MS Excel / Google Sheets and attention to detail.

API Developer PHP:

Job Description:

● Experience in working on Core PHP as well as frameworks like Laravel / CodeIgniter. Preferably with an experience of at least 1 in Government Projects in implementing large-scale Php API..

You would be an ideal candidate if:

● You have 1 to 3 years of experience

● You have some experience with assessment design (student-facing or teacher-facing) – though we are open to people from outside the domain or outside education too.

● You have strong analytical and qualitative reasoning skills – and can foster healthy arguments!

● You have strong data-handling skills, comfort with MS Excel / Google Sheets and attention to detail.

Database Administrator:

Job Description:

● Experience in writing Database Queries, with strong analytical skills, good experience in writing stored procedures. Preferably with an experience of at least 1 in Government Projects.

You would be an ideal candidate if:

● You have 1 to 3 years of experience

● You have some experience with assessment design (student-facing or teacher-facing) – though we are open to people from outside the domain or outside education too.

● You have strong analytical and qualitative reasoning skills – and can foster healthy arguments!

● You have strong data-handling skills, comfort with MS Excel / Google Sheets and attention to detail.

Project Associate:

Job Description:

● Project Management, Requirement Gathering, Documentation, MS Office Suite, Ability to work with and interpret data, analytical skills, understanding of Education Sector, the experience of working in and managing projects involving multiple stakeholders.

● Preferable to have working experience with Government Schools for about two years through full-time volunteering or Fellowship programs like Teach for India, etc.
