Communications Intern – Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP)

The Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP) is an independent, Indian public policy think tank that works on economic growth & development, energy, resources & sustainability and foreign policy & security. Formerly Brookings India.

The Centre for Social & Economic Progress (CSEP) is hiring interns on a rolling basis with the Communications team.

The internship will last for a minimum of eight weeks, with the possibility of a mutual extension.

The mission of the Internship program is to provide students and recent graduates with a pre-professional, meaningful, and practical work experience. The CSEP office is currently working in hybrid mode.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

• Assisting the team with editing publications.
• Providing support to our social media platforms and other outreach initiatives.
• Support the production of communication products and materials like infographics, videos, etc.
• Helping with database management: updating and cleaning mailing lists and event databases.
• Collaborate with the team on new ideas, directions, and tools for communications and outreach.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or similar discipline.
• Responsible, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with InDesign, WordPress, and Canva.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and initiate.
