Director, Career Services – Rishihood University

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as the Director for Career Services. The other common names for this function are Placements, Corporate Relations, Career Advancement etc. The director is an important member of the management team with shared responsibility for promoting and achieving the Rishihood’s mission. This is not a job, but an opportunity to build an institution. We are looking for someone who comes with a mission mode to act, has an knack of student growth, and has high personal credibility and network.

Location: Rishihood University, Sonipat

Joining: Before Fall 2022

Remuneration: As per market standards

Responsibilities:

1. Work with the academic team and students to understand the workforce trends and the readiness of Rishihood curriculum for students success in careers

2. Invite eminent speakers to the campus who can share industry insights and mentor the students

3. Provide career growth opportunities to the students, including the skills gaps that they need to fill for their preferred careers

4. Create a robust mechanism for helping alumni to achieve career growth even after they have graduated from the university

Key Objectives of the Director:

1. Source, identify and gain suitable work placement opportunities for students, to include coordination, monitoring and evaluation of these work placements.

2. Make excellent connections with employers to maximise the students opportunity for sustainable employment or other progression opportunities.

3. Liaising with the relevant curriculum based staff in order to ensure forward planning of work placements

4. Assist in the learning activities so that students are prepared for their Work Placement.

5. Match students with employers using information gained from faculty and students

6. Respond to first line enquiries from employers, students and parents regarding placements
