JOB DESCRIPTION
The Position: CSR Officer (ESG & Sustainability)
Under the leadership of Associate/Deputy Manager – Communications, HCL Foundation, the assigned personnel will be responsible for planning, managing and execution of the compliance, ESG and communications related requirement. Specific responsibilities include:
a. Collaborate and work with cross-functional teams and to raise HCL Foundation’s voice and visibility on sustainability issues and build allies among a wide variety of stakeholders, including NGO partners, to help create a more sustainable ecosystem.
b. Build internal understanding and alignment around the company’s sustainability goals and approach for developing and overseeing communications planning and the programmatic execution of those plans.
c. Support in building a strong reputation for HCL Foundation as an ethical and responsible CSR and contribute to the organization’s overall external communications efforts by leading projects and initiatives to help the company become more transparent to key stakeholders.
d. Develop and execute HCL Foundation’s overall communications and sustainability strategy as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes specialists in development, communications, monitoring & evaluation, data & knowledge management, government relations, corporate social responsibility, and CSR brand management.
e. Compile, collate, analyze and share all CSR related inputs for ESG disclosure, sustainability programmes, reporting, and research.
f. Provide advisory consultation to NGO partners and other relevant stakeholders regarding topics relating to corporate responsibility, sustainability, and ESG.
g. Create guidelines, checklists, policies, procedures, and other related programme content, to align with best practices and frameworks related to CSR & ESG.
h. Draft narrative content for sustainability reports, trends reports, and other communications and content around ESG disclosures and award submissions. i. Provide inputs and advisory support in professional design and layout of related reports and communications.
j. Ensure support to qualitative landscape/benchmarking studies on corporate sustainability programmes, goals, disclosures, performance, and rankings among companies, with corresponding data collection and analysis for client sustainability reporting, industry research, and data management needs, especially from CSR perspective.
k. Support on-boarding and management of relevant agencies and organizations to support the compliance, assessment, training and capacity building efforts of HCL Foundation with respect to ESG, sustainability and CSR. This will involve drafting ToRs, reviewing applications, supporting procurement processes as well day-to-day coordination including preparation and review of project management tools to track progress and review performance of the on-boarded organizations.
l. End-to-end management and coordination of all trainings, workshops, capacity building efforts, project management, technical advisory, meetings, calls, workshops, presentations, and events related to ESG & CSR disclosures.
m. Analyze the credibility of all CSR, Sustainability and ESG related awards and support submission for the same, in coordination with all concerned team members.
Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, supporting other HCL Foundation projects, assisting the Director CSR in developing and implementing policies and procedures, carrying out the objectives of the department, as well as providing recommendations on new programmes and ensuring engagement of employees as mentors and implementers.
