Tamil Nadu Announces Fellowship for Young Professionals

The Chennai state government has announced the Tamil Nadu chief minister’s fellowship programme to harness the talents of the young professionals from diverse professional and academic backgrounds in the implementation of the government’s flagship programmes.

The two-year fellowship programme is aimed at creating a pool of action-oriented resources to work on policy efficacy, principal secretary T Udhayachandran said in a government order. The programme would also aim at developing key performance indicators across various departments.

The government has allocated Rs 5.66 crore for two years (2022-2024). Apart from this, Rs 41.75 lakh has been allocated for the programme for the fiscal year 2021-2022.
