One year-long Orientation and Training program for the youth from Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
- Individuals willing to work for the welfare of the society
- Anyone between ages 18 – 27
- Can commit to this fellowship for 1 year
- From Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir
- Have inclination to learn, grow and evolve a critical lens to analyse the social issues(surrounding identities of gender, caste, sexuality, religion, disability and class among others) functioning around us.
- This particular fellowship is for individuals who have completed their Senior Secondary School exam or its equivalent.
WHAT WILL THE FELLOWSHIP INCLUDE?
Four residential workshops (around 5 days each) on different social issues. This is essential to understand the intersections between different social issues, especially through a QUEER lens. Himachal Queer Foundation will bear all costs of training, food, accommodation and travel.
Zoom sessions (1 – 2 hours) every month to monitor understanding. This would involve discussions on set assignments and involve reading, as well as engaging with various forms of media.
Weekly followups to facilitate and support different ways of learning.
Opportunity to meet and interact with resource persons, academicians, trainers, educators and activists from diverse spaces/practices.
Be part of a growing community and network of young individuals sharing the same urge to create change
Upon completion of the fellowship, our fellows will receive certificates at the end of the year and there could be opportunities of extending the fellowship
