1. AVP – Sector Intelligence

About the role

As AVP – Sector Intelligence, you will drive impactful and actionable research into promising and emergent sectors and technologies in the startup ecosystem. You will take on the challenge of growing and scaling up the research direction. As an owner of the entire research process, you will lead ideation, data gathering, analysis and publishing of insights and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify emergent and high potential research projects and lead design and conducting of research studies.
  • Lead development of outputs in impactul forms, including but not limited to reports, policy briefs, frameworks, videos, podcasts and white papers.
  • Scale up the sector research function 10X
  • Own all stages of publication, including ideating on design and outreach and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Undertake raising funds and sponsorships to build financial sustainability
  • Build and lead a team and contribute to the strategic direction of the function and the organisation
  • Ensure timely and accurate business reporting

3. Sr. Manager / AVP – Marketing

Job description
Key Responsibilities

1. Brand building & management

  • Responsible for continually improving the brand awareness for the CIIE group
  • Act as a Brand Custodian, ensuring all internal and external communication is aligned with the predetermined brand guidelines and brand vision.
  • Planning and execution of all communications and media actions on all channels, including online and social media
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent communication across all channels and always striving to improve the brand awareness and brand recall
  • Create speaker opportunities for the leadership and other stakeholders as required
  • Take ownership of designing, building and maintaining online as well as offline presence (including but not limited to the website, social media accounts, and office premises)
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity & ensure brand standards are followed across all programs and initiatives.

2. Program Marketing

  • Brainstorm with BU heads to develop and present campaigns and offer relevant strategic inputs
  • Key contributor to designing and delivering par-excellence programs
  • Responsible for leading the marketing and scouting phases of programs ensuring top-quality startups applying for our programs
  • Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Act as the sole point of contact for the PR agency and ensure smooth media relations for the CIIE group
  • Managing finance & budgets for the department
  • Responsible for overall effective end to end marketing deliverables for CIIE group

3. Market Research and Competitive Intelligence

  • Constantly seek out to understand and analyze the Startup landscape. Provide strategic inputs to the team accordingly
  • Identify various engagement platforms to connect with the startups from the ecosystem
  • Identify and create various avenues to gauge post-engagement satisfaction for the start-ups supported; make recommendations and changes accordingly

4. Portfolio Support

Provide mentorship and support to program/portfolio startups as needed

Key skills/Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative
  • Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate, lead the team, and get the job done
  • Well-organized and detail oriented

Key Responsibilities

This role is pivotal and straddles many parts of the investment ecosystem, largely focussed on how we can build the right ecosystem network in helping portfolio companies, sourcing deals and raising strategic capital. Keeping our portfolio startups at the centre of focus, the selected employee will play a key role in developing the right network of relationships and nurturing them to ensuring the success of our portfolio companies and hence the Fund. The role will also help us build the right networks to enable us to diligence our investment targets rapidly and support creating a strong brand for the fund in the ecosystem

Build and support the startup ecosystem

  • Consistently work towards developing relationship in the broader startup ecosystem particularly with Corporates who would be potential portfolio company customers,, with other investors (angels, VC investors, corporates, government funds, etc), accelerator and all major stakeholders that have strong influence on early-stage startups
  • Proactively manage relationships and build stronger association with all the ecosystem stakeholders
  • Participate actively in startup community events to identify high potential startups and build personal relationship with influencers

Investment support – Support deal leads in the Investment process when required

Portfolio Management

  • Work closely with the portfolio companies to support them to the best with respect to key introductions, connections and other strategic advice.
  • Work on different corporate startup connect programs – Conceptualise and execute pitch sessions and other events that bring visibility to our portfolio

Key skills & abilities

  • Ability to deal effectively with C level executives in large corporate houses in India and Globally
