National Health Mission Jharkhand in association with Ekjut, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Sattva are organising a convening on Strengthening Maternal and Child Health outcomes through robust community participation on the 9th of December, 2021.

Our goal is to share the outcomes and learnings from a successful community-driven programme called the Facilitated Learning and Action Groups (FLAG) programme that adopts the Participatory Learning and Action Approach (PLA), implemented to improve Maternal and Newborn health in Jharkhand. The keynote speakers and panellists include senior bureaucrats from MoHFW, NHM Jharkhand among others as well as MCH and research experts from around the world.

What to expect from this convening:
1) Deeper understanding of the role of community-driven programmes in improving Maternal, Newborn and Child Health
2) Learnings and outcomes from the Facilitated Learning and Action Groups (FLAG) programme
3) Understanding the support provided by different Government bodies to promote community-driven processes
