Plaksha’s journey started in 2015, as a conversation among a few friends about how and why technology education needs to change. This group of people, most of them entrepreneurs and business leaders, were keen to change the landscape of engineering and technology education in India and the world. Reimagining Higher Education Foundation, a Section 8 not-for-profit company, was set up in 2017 with a mission of converting the idea into a plan. In Feb 2019, the groundbreaking of, upcoming Plaksha University’s, campus in Mohali took place with the aim of opening the campus in Aug 2021.
Plaksha’s aim is to reimagine technology research and education for the 21st century. The upcoming university will be located in Mohali.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Work with Program Director in developing and executing an annual strategy to achieve the overall objective of the Career Development Office – placing talented Plaksha students in roles which match their abilities with the requirements of top Tech/ Consulting firms/BFSI/ startups etc.
- Leverage existing networks of Plaksha University’s Founders, Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Students to achieve the above
- Scout for and build relationships with recruiters to expand and facilitate the recruitment process
- Manage all aspects of the placements and capstone projects recruitment on campus, including communications and outreach, handling grievances, managing external relationships, and planning and implementing orientations and workshops.
- Develop and implement all outreach and marketing activities, campaigns, and strategies.
- Develop collaterals like placements brochure, placements report, batch profile, resume booklet etc.
- Manage placement portal, CRM and various databases and keep updating data points by liaising with other departments.
- Organizing various workshops/sessions (resume building, cover letter, mock interviews, technical test preparation) with the help of Founders/alumni/industry experts and managing the CDO’s calendar.
- Counsel students (one-on-one and in groups) on various placement-related issues.
- Select / guide the Career Development Cell (student-body)
Eligibility
- 5+ years of work experience in a relevant domain. Experience in a mentoring/managerial role would be a plus.
- Sales/Key Account Management experience will be preferred
Location Can be Gurgaon/ Mohali. The person should be willing to travel between the two and as needed to meet recruiters (at their locations).
